The Sorrentine Peninsula is an area with a strong tourist vocation which extends from Vico Equense to Massa Lubrense. The peninsula is named after its main town, Sorrento. It lies on a tufa terrace about 50 metres above sea level. Thanks to its geographical position, Sorrento enjoys a mild climate all year round.
